5 things to know before your first reformer class
From grip socks to telling your instructor about injuries — small things that make the first time much easier.

A reformer can look like a lot of machine. In reality you only need to know a few things.
1. Arrive 15 minutes early
Your instructor uses this time to set up your machine, explain the springs and ask about injuries.
2. Grip socks matter
Carriages and footbars can be slippery; grip socks keep you steady.
3. Lighter is always allowed
If something feels too heavy, say so — changing a spring takes seconds.
4. Mention injuries every time
If you're pregnant, injured or have a health condition, please check with your doctor before starting.
5. You don't need to remember everything
Most people feel at home by their third class — which is why the intro pack has three.
